File - Warehouse

Use this option to maintain the Warehouse master file in MDS. The Warehouse master file contains all warehouse information that Micronet displays or prints on reports and stationery. Each warehouse has two internal locations – one for actual stock and the other for consignment stock, if applicable. Warehouses can be set to transit locations to cater for stock being moved from one warehouse to another, e.g. Sydney to Brisbane, so that users can always see the actual stock status at any point in time.

Micronet can optionally be set to have:

• overall invoice/credit/held/purchase sequence numbers for the entire company
• individual sequence numbers for each warehouse.

Technical Tip You setup separate sequence numbers for each warehouse using the Use Warehouse Numbers field on the General Configuration screen – refer to "Edit - Program - General".
